Blackberry Torch Verizon

I personally like RIM devices because of their design and various business features that allow you to use multiple messaging options and access various email accounts. One of my favorite RIM smartphones is the BlackBerry Torch 9850. This smartphone comes with a sharp look and 720p HD video playback and impresses with its stylish design. It measures 4.7 x 2.4 x 0.45 inches and weighs around 4.8 ounces.

This slider smartphone has a 3.7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and is able to support 16 million colors.You can use it under direct sunlight because from any angle the screen is able to allow you to read any message or email. Above the screen you will find a LED indicator that notifies you when a new message is received while beneath the screen you will see five buttons designed for Menu, Back, dialer and Power/End. In the middle of these buttons you will see an optical track pad included for navigation purposes.

On the left side of the phone you will discover the 3.5 mm headphone jack, the camera shutter and the volume rocker while on the right side you will see the microUSB charging port. The microSD card slot is located behind the battery while the camera is placed on the back. Equipped with a 1.2GHz processor with 768MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage, this smartphone runs fast and allows you to load advanced apps without having to worry about freezes or delayed launch. This BlackBerry comes with BlackBerry OS 7 on board which features voice-activated universal search, Liquid Graphics display, an organizer, document viewer, social feeds and not only.

For typing your messages and emails you will have the possibility to use the virtual keyboard available which comes with smallish keys, but it’s responsive and does a great job in suggesting corrections and replacements. The Torch 9850 also comes equipped with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. It’s also able to offer a fast HTML5 browser, various text and multimedia messaging options, instant messaging and the ability to post messages to social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

Regarding the multimedia department, this BlackBerry features a built-in media player which comes with various features and the ability to support multiple file formats. The 5MP camera is another feature available on the Torch 9850. This camera features LED flash, geo-tagging and face detection. It’s also able to record 720p HD videos. When it comes to performance, you will notice that this BlackBerry is faster than the previous models released by RIM while the battery provides up to 6.8 hours of talk time.
